About

The Farm

Meyrik Farm is a large 550 acre property in regional Queensland, Australia that include two mountain ridges and a valley with 360 degree views. It's about a 2 hour drive from Brisbane and the Gold Goast.

Wild Life

Even though there is no livestock (currently) or agriculture on the property, it is home to some bee colonies and wildlife such as bush turkeys, wallabies and monitor lizards.

Self sufficient off-the-grid living among the grass trees and local wildlife.

History

We bought the property years ago to get away from city / suburban living and become self sufficient. Best thing we ever did as was evident by the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020.

Since then we've been learning more and more about off-the-grid living, permaculture, and the grass trees on our property, whilst having a lot of fun along the way. We hope to provide people who are interested in this type of living with more information in how to do it and what is needed, our mistakes and our successes, and also opportunities to experience it.
